Cesar Chavez High School football players exemplify leadership

Will be honored during tonight’s Monday Night Football broadcast

STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX
– Senator Catherine Miranda, chair of the Arizona Legislative Latino Caucus, released the following statement on the Cesar Chavez High School football team being featured in tonight’s Monday Night Football broadcast.

The team was chosen because of their 7-1 record, with a good chance at the playoffs, and for their volunteer efforts with Arizona Cardinals youth clinics.
Sen. Miranda

"I am always eager to highlight student achievement, whether it be academic, athletic or altruistic. These student athletes have won the pride and admiration of their community through their excellence on the field and their service in youth football camps," said Senator Miranda.

"They've earned their time in the national spotlight tonight and Arizona couldn't be more proud of them.”
