Arizona Bottom of Conservative Group's Education Funding List

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), a conservative organization with many Arizona Republican members, released today the 15th Annual Report Card on Education. For a while now, Arizona had been looming around the middle of the list, but today it is finally official that Arizona has made it to the bottom of the list for expenditures per pupil and pupil-teacher ratio. That means, contrary to many comments by Republican members made from the Senate Floor today, taking what Senate Republicans "believe" is a small percentage away from schools was enough to send us rocketing from 31 to 50. Now, even conservative organizations cannot deny that Arizona is bad at funding public education with only Utah below us.

Take a look for yourself:

Arizona is on page 14.

We encourage you to contact your legislators and let them know that you do not want Arizona’s children to be at the bottom of the list.
